The Assemblrs Promise
We want every booking to go right. Here’s what we promise when you book through Assemblrs.
- Your price is locked. If the item matches your link, your pro honors the price you saw.
- No-show? You pay nothing. If your pro doesn’t show, your deposit is released and nothing is charged.
- Damage covered. If your pro’s work damages your item or home, Assemblrs pays up to $250 after we review the claim, and your pro covers the rest, through their insurance or damage commitment.
- Fix-it visit. Not put together right? Your pro comes back to fix it free, within 14 days.
- Checked pros. Every pro is ID- and background-checked, and only buyers who booked them can leave reviews.
How to make a claim
Open the booking link from your confirmation email and tap Something wrong? Report an issue. Pick what happened, add photos, and send it within 14 days of the job. We review every claim, including the pro’s before and after photos, and get back to you.
Claims are decided by Assemblrs in good faith based on the evidence, and apply to jobs booked through Assemblrs. The full Promise terms, limits and exclusions are below, and our Terms of Service apply.

When you book a job through Assemblrs, we stand behind it. Here’s what we promise, how to make a claim, and the limits.
What’s covered
- Your price is locked. If the item matches your post, your pro honors the price you booked. No price changes at the door.
- No-show? You pay nothing. If your pro doesn’t show, your deposit is released.
- Fix-it visit. If your item wasn’t put together to the maker’s instructions and the standard of a careful, skilled assembler, your pro comes back once to fix it, free, within 14 days.
- Damage covered. If your pro’s carelessness causes direct physical damage to your item or home, like a scratched floor or a dented wall, Assemblrs pays up to $250. Your pro is responsible for the rest, through their insurance or damage commitment, and we help you pursue it.
- Checked pros. Every pro passes an ID check and background check before they can take jobs.
An item that wasn’t put together right is handled by the fix-it visit, not the damage payment.
Who’s covered
The buyer who booked the job through their Assemblrs account, for the work booked in the app and done by the booked pro. Paying your pro directly after the job is fine. That’s how Assemblrs works.
How to make a claim
- Report it within 14 days of the job, using “Report an issue” on your job, with photos and a short description.
- Your pro gets the first chance to make it right: a fix-it visit for assembly problems, or repairing or paying for damage.
- If that doesn’t settle it within 7 days, we review your photos, your pro’s before and after photos, and the messages, and may ask both of you questions.
- We decide in good faith based on the evidence and tell you the result.
- If approved, we pay up to $250 by refund to your card or by check, within 14 days of the decision.
Your part
- Report quickly and honestly, with clear photos.
- Keep the damaged item until the claim is settled, and let us or your pro see the damage if asked.
- Don’t repair or throw anything out before reporting, unless it’s an emergency. Then take photos first.
- Send repair quotes or receipts if we ask.
Limits
- One claim per job.
- Assemblrs pays at most $250 per job, in total.
- Your pro is responsible for damage beyond that, not Assemblrs.
Not covered
- Product defects, and parts that were missing or broken from the factory.
- Damage that was already there, and normal wear.
- Items assembled, moved or changed by someone other than your pro.
- Damage from your own actions or instructions.
- Art, antiques, heirlooms, cash, jewelry and electronic data.
- Injuries to people or pets. These go to the pro’s insurance.
- Lost time, loss of use, delays or other indirect costs.
- Jobs arranged outside Assemblrs.
- Claims involving false information or fraud.
Good to know
- The Assemblrs Promise is a goodwill program from Assemblrs. It isn’t an insurance policy.
- When we pay a claim, you transfer to us your right to recover that amount from the pro, and we may collect it from them.
- If you disagree with our decision, you can still take your claim to small claims court.
- We may change the Promise for future bookings. Jobs already booked keep the Promise in place when you booked.
