These terms apply to everyone who uses assemblrs.com. Pros also agree to the Pro Agreement, which controls if the two conflict. By posting a job or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Assemblrs is run by Kelcraft Solutions, LLC, a Utah company. Contact: support@assemblrs.com.
2. What Assemblrs does
We connect you with independent assembly pros in your area. Pros are separate businesses. They set their own prices and do the work. Assemblrs does not do assembly work and is not a party to the agreement between you and your pro, except for the deposit, fees and Promise described here.
3. Who can use Assemblrs
You must be at least 18. You are responsible for your account and anything done with it, so keep your login safe and tell us right away if someone else uses it. Accounts can’t be transferred, and each person may have only one.
4. Posting a job
- Describe your item accurately: the right item, the right counts (drawers, doors, chairs, pieces) and any add-ons you want. Pros price from what you post.
- Have the item delivered, in a clear workspace, with all boxes and parts, before the job.
- Someone 18 or older must be there for the whole job.
- Tell us about anything a pro should know, like stairs, pets or parking.
5. The $30 refundable deposit
When you book, we authorize or charge $30 on your card. It is not a payment to the pro. If we charge it, any amount due back to you is refunded to the same card.
| What happens | Your deposit |
|---|---|
| Job done | Released or refunded |
| You cancel 12 or more hours before | Released or refunded |
| Your pro cancels or doesn’t show | Released or refunded |
| You cancel within 12 hours of the job (2-hour grace if you booked inside 12 hours) | Paid to the pro as a late-cancel fee |
| You’re not there after the pro waits 10 minutes and tries to reach you | Paid to the pro as a wasted visit fee |
| The item isn’t there or isn’t what you posted | Paid to the pro as a wasted visit fee |
6. Paying your pro
- You pay your pro directly after the job, using a payment type they accept. Assemblrs does not collect the job price.
- The price is the price you booked, plus any add-ons you request and sign for in the app. Pros do not change prices at the door.
- If the item is clearly different from what you posted, the pro may offer a new price to rebook on the spot, or leave. You don’t have to accept.
- Please mark the job paid in the app. Tips are optional.
7. Changes and cancellations
- Cancel free until 12 hours before the job.
- You can move your job to other days up to 2 times, until 12 hours before.
- If your pro doesn’t show, tell us in the app starting 30 minutes after your window ends. You pay nothing.
8. Reviews
Only buyers who booked a pro can review them, within 14 days after the job. Reviews must be honest and about your own job. No threats, hate, personal information or ads. We may remove reviews that break these rules, but not just because they are negative.
By posting a review or photos, you give Assemblrs permission to show and use them on the site and in our marketing, without payment. We show reviews with your first name only.
9. Messages, calls and texts
- Contact your pro through the app or the masked phone number we provide. Calls and texts through the masked number are logged and kept only to resolve disputes.
- If you opt in, we send job texts to the number you give us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not required to book.
10. Things you may not do
- Give false information, or book a job you don’t intend to keep.
- Pay for, trade or fake reviews, or review a job that didn’t happen.
- Open more than one account.
- Harass, threaten or discriminate against a pro, or keep contacting a pro who asked you to stop.
- Ask a pro to do electrical, plumbing, gas or structural work.
- Misuse the site: scraping, hacking, fake accounts, or copying our content or pricing.
11. The Assemblrs Promise
Every job you book through Assemblrs comes with the Assemblrs Promise: a locked price, nothing to pay if your pro doesn’t show, a free fix-it visit, up to $250 toward damage, and checked pros. The full terms, including how to make a claim and what isn’t covered, are on the Assemblrs Promise page and are part of these terms.
12. Background checks
Pros pass an ID check and background check before approval, and a re-check every 24 months. A “checked” badge means the pro passed those checks on the date they were done. It isn’t a guarantee of anyone’s future behavior, and it covers only the pro, not anyone else. Use normal care and contact us right away with any concern.
13. Our responsibility
- Except for the Promise, Assemblrs provides the website “as is” and is not responsible for a pro’s work, conduct, or failure to show.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to $250 or the amount you paid Assemblrs in the last 6 months, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
- Nothing here limits rights you have under Utah consumer law that can’t be waived.
Problems with your pro. Most problems can be worked out through in-app messages. If not, both of you agree to try to settle it in good faith, and we’ll help where we can. Outside the Assemblrs Promise, Assemblrs isn’t required to step in, and claims about a pro’s work or conduct are against the pro, not Assemblrs.
Insurance companies. If your insurance company pays a claim related to a job, it has no more rights against Assemblrs than you do, and these terms apply to it as they would to you.
14. Disputes
Please contact us first at support@assemblrs.com and give us 30 days to fix it. If that doesn’t settle it, either side may bring a claim in small claims court in the county where the job was done. Utah law applies, except where the law of the state you live in gives you protections that can’t be waived. claims, or courts?]
15. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new date at the top and email account holders about important changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Jobs already booked follow the terms in place when you booked.
16. General
- Whole agreement: these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Promise are the whole agreement between you and Assemblrs.
- If one part fails: if any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- No waiver: if we don’t enforce a rule once, we can still enforce it later.
- Events outside anyone’s control: neither side is responsible for delays caused by things like storms, outages or emergencies.
- Time limit: any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, where the law allows.
- Electronic records: you agree to receive these terms, receipts and notices electronically. Email support@assemblrs.com for a paper copy.
- Our site and brand: Assemblrs owns the site, the Assemblrs name and logo, and our content. Don’t copy them.
- U.S. only: Assemblrs is for jobs in the United States.
